The Dog Lady, Inc. was founded in 2004 and is located in Sacramento, California, but The Dog Lady serves clients in every part of the United States.
What started as one Sacramento dog trainer’s dream has rapidly grown to become a team of dedicated professional dog trainers working toward the common goal of strengthening the bond between animals and humans. The organization doesn't just train dogs. It builds relationships between owners and their pets to create a bond that will last a lifetime.
This corporation is based on old fashioned values in combination with modern ideas about how to bring people and pets together for their mutual benefit. The company works with and seeks out highly skilled professional dog trainers who are knowledgeable about many different breeds, temperaments, and training methods. The Dog Lady and her associates are members of the Better Business Bureau (BBB), Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT), International Assoc. of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC), AKC Canine Good Citizenship evaluators, and Delta Society Pet Partners.

The Dog Lady works comfortably and confidently even with “problem dogs” who might be dismissed as “untrainable dogs”. There are, of course, some dogs that simply are not trainable, but that is very rare. Most "untrainable" dogs were labeled as such because other dog trainers were not willing to try different methods or take the time to rehabilitate the dog and use a reasonable aggressive dog training program to try to solve the dog’s behavior problems. On the other hand, The Dog Lady's dog behavior modification programs are different; she will do whatever it takes as long as it is humane and in the best interest of the dog, the dog’s owner, and the larger community.
Through her group dog training lessons, private lessons and doggie boot camp programs, The Dog Lady works actively and personally with owners who have beloved but troubled dogs as well as rescue organizations who are trying to rehabilitate "bad dogs” through dog behavior modification programs.
